Daniel Knauth
Daniel Knauth is the principal of The Law Office of Daniel Knauth, a
firm specializing in representing employers in all aspects of
employment-related litigation.
We have experience litigating before federal and state courts,
administrative agencies, as well as mediation and arbitral forums. We
provide representation during all stages of employment disputes, from
answering complaints and preparing position statements to trial. In
addition we represent our clients' interests in negotiating severance
packages and in enforcing non-compete and non-solicitation agreements.
Our goal is to provide timely, efficient and aggressive representation
for our clients during all phases of litigation.
Experience
Mr. Knauth has over 11 years of experience as an attorney at some of
the most prestigious firms in Manhattan. By establishing The Law
Office of Daniel Knauth, Mr. Knauth offers his extensive experience as
a large firm attorney to individual executives, as well as emerging
and established businesses.
Immediately prior to founding The Law Office of Daniel Knauth, Mr.
Knauth practiced employment law with the New York office of Morgan,
Lewis & Bockius LLP, which has repeatedly been recognized as having
one of the top management-side labor and employment groups in the
country. Mr. Knauth has over six years of litigation experience
representing companies on a full range of employment law and related
matters, including single-plaintiff, multi-plaintiff and class and
collective actions involving claims of discrimination, harassment,
retaliation, constructive discharge, wage and hour, whistleblower,
employment-related common law claims and contract disputes before
federal and state courts and administrative agencies, such as the
EEOC and NYS Division of Human Rights, as well as before the American
Arbitration Association and private arbitration and mediation
services.
In addition to employment litigation, Mr. Knauth has extensive
experience advising employers on the design, implementation and
application of corporate personnel policies, employee handbooks,
diversity programs, harassment prevention programs, and
reductions-in-force, as well as the employment issues arising out of
employee terminations. Mr. Knauth has conducted numerous on-site
confidential workplace investigations and client training seminars to
address sensitive human resources and employee relations issues. He
also regularly negotiates employment agreements, non-competition,
non-solicitation and non-disclosure agreements, and agreements
designed to protect trade secrets, intellectual property and other
proprietary information.
